I am an interactive and graphic designer residing in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I have recently graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, where I have earned a BFA in Communication Design with a concentration in Interactive Design. While at Kutztown I frequented the Dean's List, was inducted into the Kutztown chapter of the prestigious Phi Kappa Phi national honor society, and have consumed a wealth of knowledge in both design and modern web programming trends. Although I have had an incredible experience with the university, it is most definitely time to move forward to pursue a career in web design.
I am currently employed as a freelance designer at Bore Tech, Inc. of Telford, PA to create an entirely new identity for the company (consisting of a new website, product labels, and product catalog). I am also currently available for a full-time position in Web Design. I both design and build visually appealing and standards-complient web sites geared toward modernizing the client's web presence, while maintaining usability and invoking interactivity with the client's audience.
In my spare time, I enjoy tinkering around with my two Acura Integras, pretend that I know what I am doing when it comes to interior design, and fighting the never-ending battle of perfecting the ultimate iTunes music library. I am also an active poster on the Team-Integra.net entusiasts/owners forum and Yahoo! Answers Computers & Internet, Consumer Electronics, and Entertainment & Music categories.
Through Justin Pursell Interactive, I aim to refresh outdated business' image through both a modern web and print presence. I use the most recent common web practices to create stunning CSS-styled websites with clean XHTML coding and invigorating Flash elements to create an entertaining online user experience. Enhancements include fresh, visually-appealing website designs, exceptional content organization, and interactivity with customers within the site.
While some small businesses have yet to advertise themselves on the web, I aim to comfortably guide them onto the web with a design that appeals to both the client and their customers.
Using my knowledge of print design, I can also create product labels and packaging pieces, catalogs/product showcases, brochures, newsletters, logos and business cards.
This website was created as an online presence for myself as well as a showcase of both student and professional work. Through the use of a slick MacBook Pro Core2Duo mated with a Dell 24" UltraSharp monitor, Justin Pursell.com was hand-coded using validating XHTML &, CSS for the site's formatting and positioning, and Flash for Portfolio work.
